Crunch Time

These next few weeks are going to be so surreal. Currently, (twice a day) I am quizzing Elliot on the 11 General Orders and everything in the Helmsman. I have made him notecards on almost every inch of that book haha.

This is my last week before my vacation week off with him. Then he leaves on the 5th. Ladies, this is crunch time to say the least.

We were talking last night and realized we haven’t been away from each other for more than 2 weeks in the (almost) 3 years we’ve been together. 

He’s my best friend, my lover, my boyfriend, and my roommate. And this whole thing is going to be hard. And we know it.

But I am so proud of him. And I am beyond ready for the next step in our lives.

Bring on the writer’s callus, baby! This love is about to go old school.

Update on my Coastie!

Okay, so… Elliot leaves for bootcamp on June 5th. (It’s that time already?!) He’s starting to get anxious since his last day of work is today (he’s taking a month off to prepare for BC). 

Our lives are so up in the air right now. We have one more week of school…then he leaves and I start working full time. We can’t seem to get on schedule and I don’t want to stress before he leaves. I just want to enjoy him and enjoy our life in this moment. 

If anyone has any tips on what to do before he leaves or even after he leaves, shoot me a reply. ?

I am so PROUD!

My boyfriend is officially in the United States Coast Guard!

Elliot got the call today that he made it into the CSPI program! He meets with his recruiter soon and will find out when he leaves for bootcamp!

I was shaking when I found out. He has worked so hard! I am so proud and excited.

Off to celebrate!!!!

Elliot talked to one of his buddies who is a recruiter and he said the CSPI acceptance letters should be in the mail this week…

HOLY HELL, this is it! The final stretch until we find out if he’s in the Coast Guard! I’m so excited for him! 

He also talked to some of his friends and he will most likely be leaving the first week in June for bootcamp! 

Everything is coming together… His hard work and our determination is finally going to be paid off.

Wake up call…

I woke up yesterday morning to sweet kisses from my boyfriend. It was right at that moment that it hit me. I really don’t know if I’m ready for him to go to bootcamp. He will be gone this whole summer and every break after that.

This semester is the last semester we will share a schedule and a school. He will change this summer, most likely permanently (and I know for the better, but still). I love him the way he is. I just don’t want to be left behind. 

I had no idea I felt like this at all until that moment and I just started crying. Every time someone has asked me how I felt, I’ve been 100% supportive and on board.

I do support, love and respect him…

…but… I really don’t want him to go.

He’s the most important person in my life. He’s my best friend. He’s the one that changed my life. He made me a better person. We’ve haven’t been apart for more than a week in over two years. What am I going to do without him?

We move into our apartment a week from tomorrow. We’re making a home for ourselves. This should be the time of our lives and I’m starting to (for lack of a better term) freak out. 

I know I’m going to have to be the strong one here. But at the moment, I feel pretty darn weak.

HE’S ALMOST IN!!!!!!!!!

Elliot got accepted into Morehouse College, where he will be a minority and qualify for the COAST GUARD CSPI PROGRAM!

Now, all he has to do is make it through his interview and HE’S IN!!!!!!!!

My boyfriend is not only charismatic, but a GREAT public speaker! It’s in the BAG!
