Our new place is amazing. It SO quiet though. I’m used to a lot of noise and now it’s just us and the cats. Elliot went to watch football with his dad and do laundry while I tried to sleep off this illness. When I failed miserably, I drowned myself in loneliness by watching the show Bones…hahah.
Anyways, we picked out paint colors…
Kitchen-Orange
Living Room- Teal
Bedroom- Red and Purple
Bathroom- White (we have vintage light green tile going up most of the walls <3)
The Spare Room and Hallway are unknown.
Unfortunately, with us going to Seattle and moving out within the same month, one of our cats has not adjusted. Milo woke me up in the middle of the night crying. I also caught him pulling some carpet up this morning…. :( I feel like he is me in this situation. I can’t even begin to think what he is gonna do when Elliot leaves for bootcamp.
On the plus side, it took 20 minutes with traffic to get to work instead of an hour like it usually does. (: And Decatur is amazing. It has a lot of perks that Atlanta does (since it practically IS Atlanta- one zip code over) but much more eclectic and indie. It is also family-oriented and extremely safe.
My neighbors are an actress (she was on the pilot episode of Grey’s Anatomy) and an older oriental lady who reminds me of a friend’s mom who I used to know. All she said was “It’s vvvvverryyyy quiet here. No parties.” I tried to explain to her that not only am I not the partying type but Elliot is going into the military and can’t afford to screw up. (Although, we did take advantage of the housewarming surprise his best friend brought over…That probably contributed to my sickness now that I think about it…)
Just an update…I guess. Or maybe I just needed to talk about it, since finding someone to talk to can be pretty tough sometimes.
